Sellout Heads to NIVA 2026: Exploring the Future of Ticketing, Fan Engagement, and Independent Venues
Published Jun 3, 2026

One year can change a lot.
When we attended the National Independent Venue Association Conference (NIVA) in 2025, we arrived with a simple goal: listen, learn, and better understand the needs of independent venues, promoters, and event organizers.
This year, we're returning to NIVA 2026 in Minneapolis with a clearer vision, stronger partnerships, and exciting new technology that we believe can help shape the future of live events.
We'll be joining venue operators, promoters, artists, and industry leaders from across the country to continue the conversations that matter most and share what we've been building over the past year.
WHAT'S NEW AT SELLOUT
Over the last 12 months, Sellout has continued to evolve beyond a ticketing platform.
We've focused on creating tools that help organizers build stronger connections with their audiences, gain greater ownership of their data, and create more valuable event experiences from first announcement to final encore.
One of the biggest milestones in that journey has been our partnership with Anvil.
Anvil has been building and shipping production infrastructure on Cardano since 2022. Sellout has been helping organizers connect with real fans since 2017. Together, we're bringing a unique combination of experience to the industry: a Cardano-native development agency with more than 250 projects delivered and a ticketing platform trusted by more than 200,000 users. Even more exciting, Phase 1 of our partnership is already live.
Together, we're exploring new ways to help organizers unlock the next generation of fan engagement through Web3-powered ticketing and digital experiences.
While the technology itself is exciting, what matters most is what it enables: deeper relationships between artists, venues, promoters, and fans.
WHY WEB3 MATTERS FOR LIVE EVENTS
For years, tickets have primarily served one purpose: entry.
We believe they can do much more.
The next evolution of ticketing creates opportunities for tickets to become lasting digital assets that help fans stay connected long after an event ends.
Imagine tickets that unlock exclusive content, reward loyal attendees, provide access to future experiences, or become collectible pieces of an event's history.
Our work with Anvil is focused on bringing these possibilities to organizers in a way that feels practical, accessible, and valuable.
No buzzwords. No unnecessary complexity.
Just better tools that help events create stronger communities.
BUILDING WHAT'S NEXT TOGETHER
NIVA remains one of the most important gatherings in the independent live event industry.
It's where honest conversations happen. It's where venue operators share real challenges. It's where promoters exchange ideas.
And it's where companies like Sellout have the opportunity to listen and learn directly from the people we serve.
We're attending to:
Share what we've learned over the past year
Explore how emerging technology can better support independent venues
Gather feedback on our platform and future roadmap
Connect with organizers looking for flexible, modern ticketing solutions
Learn from the innovators helping shape the future of live events
WHERE TICKETING IS HEADED
The live event industry continues to evolve rapidly. Fans expect more personalized experiences. Organizers need greater flexibility. Venues are looking for partners who understand their unique challenges.
We're excited to have conversations about where ticketing is headed and how technology can support the people creating incredible live experiences every day.
Most importantly, we're excited to meet the people behind those experiences.
